To register as an autónomo you need to provide the IBAN of a Spanish bank account — Seguridad Social will debit your monthly social-security contributions from it automatically.
Pick the option that matches your situation.
Option 1. You already have a Spanish bank account
- Enter your IBAN in the field.
- Make sure the account is yours.
- Continue with the registration.
This is the simplest case — nothing else is required.
Option 2. You don't have an account yet, but you already have your residence card (TIE)
We recommend opening a bank account first and then continuing with the registration. The fastest option is to open an account fully online with N26. Any other Spanish bank works too — BBVA, for example, or any other bank that works with Seguridad Social.
Once the account is open:
- Get your IBAN.
- Enter it in the onboarding form.
- Continue with the registration.
Option 3. You don't have your residence card yet, but you hold a permit that lets you register as an autónomo
For example: an approved Digital Nomad permit; an approved Startup Visa; any other permit that entitles you to register as an autónomo.
Seguridad Social allows the contributions to be debited from someone else's account, provided the account holder agrees. In that case you can temporarily provide the IBAN of a relative, a friend or another trusted person. Tick the "This IBAN belongs to a relative or trusted person" checkbox next to the field.
After the registration:
- we will register you with Seguridad Social and Hacienda using your electronic certificate (this service is already included in the price);
- as soon as you receive your residence card and open your own account, you will need to replace the bank details with yours.
